Does anyone know on what the USN rubber buttons from Blockade Runner Sutlery-USS Monitor style- were used? could they be BOTH frock and trouser buttons-specifically?_Thanks!

In examining 7 frocks and 2 pairs of trousers (not exactly an exhaustive survey), none of them used the button Blockade Runner sells. Every button on them were bone or stamped tin (one had porcelain). I have seen plenty of period pics of the Jacket and they don’t seem to feature that button either. How large is Blockade Runner button? Could it be the Pea Coat button?
